Toowoomba Chamber delivers migrant employment

With employment being the goal for many refugees and migrants, Toowoomba Chamber’s Business Connect Program helps to break down the barriers as it seeks out and encourages employment opportunities for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
A program only possible due to the ongoing support of the Queensland Government and local businesses.
Thanks to the Toowoomba Chamber’s Business Connect Program, Heritage Bank has recently employed, Reem Doumet, as a Member Service Officer, after arriving in Australia only eight months ago from Syria where she worked as a lawyer.
