The Festival of Food and Wine, an event not to be missed, as part of the Toowoomba
Carnival of Flowers has filled 78% of food stallholders from within the Toowoomba
Regional Council local government boundary area.

The Toowoomba Chamber, Chief Executive Officer, Todd Rohl said “The Toowoomba
Chamber was highly critical of the Toowoomba Regional Council’s decision in 2021 to
support interstate operators over local businesses that employ local people and provide for the local community.

“Today, it was fantastic to get advice from Toowoomba Regional Council confirming most food stallholders for the Food and Wine Festival will be from within the Toowoomba Regional Council local government boundaries.
“The Toowoomba Chamber congratulates the Toowoomba Regional Council for supporting local business as part of the Festival of Food and Wine between 9-11 September.

This appears to be a gigantic step in the right direction, and we look forward to the
incredible home grown produce and the ever-expanding range of local wine, mead, gin and craft beer being showcased at the event for the world to see.
