Toowoomba Chamber Chief Executive Officer said, “We are thrilled to have global giant Thiess confirm their intention to return home to hold its first conference outside of the Gold Coast in 10 years and celebrate its 90th anniversary in business which was founded in Toowoomba by brothers Pat and Bert.

“We are also pleased to welcome an agriculture sector conference to Toowoomba.
“The agriculture sector remains the biggest business sector by business count in our region and confirmation of securing a Renewables in Ag Conference with the support of the Albanese Federal Government is considered an outstanding achievement for Toowoomba Conferences.

“It is a true credit to the work of Toowoomba Conferences and their collaboration with local business, venues, and the broader community.
“Over $450,000 is expected to be contributed to the local economy in our accommodation, hospitality, service sectors and the like.
“These events will help us showcase our great city and region with more than 500 people from all over the country projected to head to Toowoomba.
“Toowoomba Conferences is currently in negotiations with a third conference for the region and we are hopeful to make another positive announcement in the coming days.
