With prominent speakers, including the Commissioner for the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, Mr Bob Atkinson AO APM, and Commissioner, Robert Fitzgerald AM as well as prominent academics and professionals working in the area of child protection. We hope that yourself and your colleagues can join us for the next conference in this important series, The 2nd Vulnerable Persons Conference, Responding to the vulnerability of children after the Royal Commission.

The aim of this conference is to draw on the theme of vulnerability with a particular focus on three key areas:

  1. The vulnerability of children and victimisation.
  2. Responding to vulnerability to minimise risk.
  3. Preventing the abuse of children with particular vulnerabilities.

Toowoomba Virtual Jobs Fair | RDA DDSW

Are you looking to fill job vacancies in your business? Are you keen to talk to job seekers about what you are looking for?

The Toowoomba Regional Jobs Committee are hosting a free Virtual Jobs Fair online from Thursday 13 May to Saturday 15 May 2021.

The Virtual Jobs Fair will provide an opportunity for job seekers to see jobs that are on offer currently, interact with potential employers and access resources to help with their job search or quest to retrain or upskill. The Virtual Jobs Fair will also provide information and resources to help businesses plan for their future workforces – please see attached flyer.

The event will be free of charge to all and will include a Jobs Board, an Exhibition Hall (full of booths) and workshops (live and on-demand).

Toowoomba Orthodontists Pop Up Pallets Makers

All pallet creations will be auctioned off at the Toowoomba Orthodontists Pop Up Pallets event on Friday 18 June to help raise funds for the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation. Places are strictly limited. Creations need to be dropped off by the maker at the event venue between 9am and 12noon on Friday 18 June.

By registering I agree to abide by the following conditions and understand that if my piece does not comply with the following conditions it will not be included in the Pop Up Pallet event.

Terms and Conditions

  • Strictly one item per organisation or group (including family or school)
  • Maximum 1.5m2 completed size
  • Completed item to be delivered to the event venue (TBC) on Friday 18 June 2021 between 9am to 12noon
  • One event ticket per registration (additional tickets can be purchased)
  • Completed item must comprise of 80% pallet wood
  • Pallet creators are required to source their own pallets or contact the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation if needing assistance.
  • Completed items must be functional in nature - furniture such as coffee tables, outdoor furniture and tables auctioned well at the 2020 event.
