Cafes, restaurants, food outlets, retailers, local farmers and food producers form an integral part of the developing food culture here in Toowoomba and the FAN supports the further strengthening of this valuable sector. Chamber’s FAN initiative supports those local businesses who are seeking to grow supply chain opportunities here in Toowoomba and assist these businesses to strengthen their long-term profitability and sustainability.
The Food and Agri Network is comprised of dedicated volunteer members who assist the Toowoomba Chamber by providing strategic advice to ensure the Food and Agri Network program provides purposeful and rewarding opportunities for this key industry sector.
Meet the Advisory Group
Jeff Schultheiss
Clayton has been a chef for over 30 years, first discovering his passion for cooking while on a high school student exchange program. He began his career at Victoria’s at the Hilton and completed his apprenticeship at Michael’s Riverside Restaurant. For the past 23 years, Clayton has called Toowoomba home, where he now runs his own restaurant, Bergen, alongside a casual eatery, Dumphling, a dumpling bar much loved by locals.
Sally Boardman
Sally has worked in the agricultural industry throughout South East Queensland and northern NSW, since completing a BSc.Agr at Sydney University. In 1999, Sally and her husband moved to Ravensbourne, Queensland, where they became immersed in the Avocado Industry. They have developed 5 farms of avocado production, Sunnyspot Farms, have graded and packed fruit from producers all over SE QLD, Sunnyspot Packhouse, and have developed a marketing business in collaboration with another large producer in Bundaburg, QLD, which markets 25% of the total fruit produced Australia wide, both domestically and internationally, The Avolution. In 2018 Sally completed and graduated with a Master of Agribusiness from the University of Queensland.
