President | Joy Mingay
As the owner and operator of Classic Recruitment and Human Resources in Toowoomba, Joy brings more than 25 years of experience in recruitment to the business. With a deep understanding of employment from the ground up, she proudly specialises in recruitment and human resource management for small business. Joy is passionate about her community and opportunities for its growth across many sectors. Joy was awarded the Zonta Woman of the Year (2014).
Vice President | Harrison Humphries
Harrison is the Head of Section for Clifford Gouldson Lawyers. Harrison completed a Bachelor of Laws in late 2010 and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in early 2011 before being admitted as Lawyer in June 2011.
Treasurer | Sam Wright
Sam is an accountant at Ambrosiussen Accountants and focuses on both compliance and business edge work. Sam is nearing completion of the CPA program, having already completed a dual Bachelor's Degree in Business and Commerce, majoring in Accounting, Finance, and Human Resource Management. Sam is committed to the strengthening and development of small business by improving the lifestyle of clients, not just the bottom line. Sam enjoys networking immensely and volunteering his time in community organisations like the Chamber, The Education Capital and the Carnival of Flowers.
Secretary | Gary Love
Gary Love is a Director of H Line Structures and GC Event Hire and has over 23 years experience in the event hire industry. GC Hire has contributed to Toowoomba’s business community for nearly 3 decades and employs over 30 local staff. Gary is a passionate believer in keeping business local and advancing the local community and as such has sat on the Carnival of Flowers Advisory Committee and also the subcommittee for Toowoomba Says No To Violence.
Professor Geraldine Mackenzie is Vice Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland. She has had a strong commitment through her career to widening participation in higher education, particularly in Australia's regional areas, flexible learning opportunities and encouraging a strong link between the University and business, government, industry and community. Professor Mackenzie is a Barrister-at-law, member of the Queensland Bar Association, American Bar Association and the International Bar Association. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law, the Queensland Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Australian Institute of Managers and Leaders and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Brent is the General Manager of TAFE Queensland South West (TQSW) and leads an organisation that delivers vocational education and training services within a geographical footprint extending across one-third of the state of Queensland. Brent works with elected representatives, business and community leaders to grow an organisation with the primary focus of meeting and exceeding the needs of students, employers, industry and the community in the south-west region.
Brent is the chair of the TAFE at School Board, tasked with reinforcing TAFE Queensland as the provider of choice for schools in Queensland. Brent is also a member of the TAFE Queensland Executive and the TAFE Queensland Academic and Product Management Authority Boards. He also holds a board position with the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce.

Having lived the majority of her life on the Darling Downs and attended high school at Fairholme College, she is an outspoken advocate of everything Toowoomba and the Downs.
