Brought to you by the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce & Industry & USQ
We have two exciting new developments for the Friday, 10 February “Mayoral Candidates”’ Business at Breakfast at Picnic Point.
Deputy Mayor Paul Antonio has announced his candidacy and has confirmed that he will join his colleagues Mayor Peter Taylor and Councillor Joe Ramia at the Business at Breakfast session, and popular ABC Southern Queensland morning show host Belinda Sanders has joined the panel of journalists.
We are delighted to be able to partner with USQ and its Journalism discipline in this event which sees a panel of journalists putting questions to the three candidates, under the direction of Master of Ceremonies Andrew Mason. As well as Belinda, the panellists are former APN News and Media journalist Rebecca Te’o, and WIN TV journalist Daniel Sercombe.
The session begins with a five to seven minute presentation from each candidate who will outline his vision for the Toowoomba Regional Council area for the next four years. Then, they’ll take questions from the panellists. As well, attendees will be invited to submit questions on cards provided on entry.
Best to book tickets early as this session is likely to be oversubscribed. Looking forward to seeing you on the 10th!
